Bangalore Blues!

Its been over a fortnight in Bangalore and already missing Bombay for the true spirit that it breathes day in and out.

Lost my cell to the goodness of a rikshaw guy here.
Unfortunately and peculiarly the auto drivers here keep everything from the user as his token of love and a sovenir of his unforgettable companionship during the auto travel.

The distance between the office and my apartment never fluctuates, only the metre outcomings are different everyday, keeping my debts well in debits.A colleague of mine mentioned that the auto guys need their share of money from the s/w guys.

Agreed, these guys earn much more than what must be the equivalent of double their respective age,but why torture the non-I.T naivaites comme moi-meme?The whole point narrows down to unequal distribution of money and lack of respect for certain professionals like auto/bus riders etc.

Any way, though Bangalore comes across as a very clean and green city, its also appears to be a dead man's city at anytime after 8.00 pm! Strangely, for "bombaites" who have seen bombay in every hue of its, this colour of Bangalore seems totally dull and discoloured.
Some guy in school taught us to associate the idiom "blues" to sadness (god knows why?) so its just that I m following the convention and describing the crib for Bombay as "Bangalore Blues".So,as of now living with the blues alone is a city which hates non-kannadigas is difficult.

Perhaps, years ago when an aunt of ours lived here it would have been much tougher than today to get acceptance particularly with our typically maharashtrain looks and the fair skin with light eyes.
And,we talk about people in U.K or U.S.A not accepting people with darker face.Do we really have a face to say that with pride that we are warm enough to accept all colours and creeds within our country?

NO,perhaps Bombay is one place in India where we find people being more accepting, better tolerant and more patient since they know and understand that if gujju's vanish there shall be no cloth, grain and share market in the city.

Similarly, entire south and north indian community disapearing from the scene shall mean no hotels and lack of keralites and bengalis would mean total stagnation of consumer industry.
Can we not open our arms wider than Bombay?

May be,blues would nigh a ciel full of blue but a tinge of orange with hope of progress,in the true sense!
