bangalore 2007: marching towards the spring!!!

at bang airport before the delayed flight 525 was announced.
my best friend of last 14 years!
...ashu and i have known each other since the 6th standard so our association is beyond the fencing of worldly fences of selfishness and materialism. we are sisters, advisors, soulmates (in the right sense, we are straight and have our dedicated inclinations towards our respective interests of affection) and the best of friends as well as councillors.

over the years we have not had an opportunity to go on a vacation together, so this year we decided to go to banglore for a holiday, not a long one though but a very fulfilling one for sure.

bangalore has changed over the years,it was about 3 years ago that i had been there for a college trip, but its not the same city that it once used to be.and at such times its difficult to subside the architect in me.the city looked so disciplined in the aerial view with neighbourhood level planning , cluster concept and radial style of develpoment, but one trip from the airport to the M.G road and i was all in pain sans the happiness that i was filled with before the landing.

the roads though were clean and wide enough to serve the city traffic but que de bruit! so much of traffic!

the computer and I.T hub of india allows people to earn more and spend more so with increase in pay equals to increase in number of cars per person and mushrooming cafe coffee days.can one believe it, the M.G road is full of CCDs and the off-streets to the road are blooming with such coffee joints as well.

well, if it was in bomabay that this was the case, only and only collegians would visit the cafes more.but, the good part about bangalore is that irrespective of age and sex people move into the cafes and have meetings (well, some like me enjoyed strictly non-corporate mettings with corporate blokes).

the city is a wonder place for all book bugs like me, a series of options for readers in the book banks like gangaram's and crosswords is a real feast. something that one cant find time for in mumbai's busy and hectic life.

the city has been lucky enough to have better infrastructure and amenity services than most of the major cities in india.however, one thing that hampers the success of the infrastructural syntheses is power outage.

frequent cuts of power need to be minimized, either by application of solar systems or aide of some good "sun engineers" in helping the karantaka government in gaining support maharashtra's architectural and environmental clusters.the power outage might be the cause of the decline of the the techno-capitol de l'inde! may be some projects that convert the solar energy into the electrical energy by use of techniques such as used in the media house stations in gurgaon could be set up. water harvesting is also a good solution to overcome the water scarcity or inadequacy.

i completely identify and empathise with many of the kannadigas who just dont like a dip and bless this bliss in disgiuse, but not all fellows there are like that.the corporate offices are completely centrally optimized and hence it becomes vital that the buildings here need to be designed as multi-service intelligent buildings that have in-built facilities like sewage rejevenation, water re-utilisation plants, cooling ducts that are laid at foundation level in trenches and are attached to the main building via a pump that breathes in cool air at all times (the temprature of soil stratum at deeper level is considerably low and hence it is pumped by suction after which its is thrown through an orifice connected to a centrifugal fan that jets out the cooler air into the areas like basement which have a tendency to heated temprature levels),incinerators or garbage disposal plants and apart from that adequately spaced recreation and smoking zones within the structure itself.

the landscape is one of the major sights to look out and experience.the roads are shaded with beautiful savni, jaqurenda, casurina, copperpod, tabebua, delonix species and all the crotons and plumerian colur pallets.its wonderful and absolutely a feast for landscape lovers like me.the ulsoor lake is a beautiful recreation area though there are people who still visit the small gardens for local sight seeing!!:)))

jokes apart, the psyo-shade play is so amazing that i can spend hours and hours admiring the scenic beauty.fortunately, the city is not blessed with humid triggers and gives one dry skin and streched face , but thats only in summers, its the best place to be in rains and late winter.absolutely, and co-incidentally makes one romantic in all seasons and only for those who have good reasons to smile without a slop, just like moi meme! so, try being the guest a chez!the best place that i felt was a place that is the offshoot of a hi-fi mall ( i am not particularly a mall lover, still)called as the bangalore central at the residency road which has the copper chimney restaurant on the fifth floor. there is a series of these restaurants in bombay as well, but this place in bangalore rocks. it ovelooks the bright lights and moonlight in the projecting galleria for dining and a background score by rahul sharma,it stirs a great deal of romance within a dud like me too!so in a way, if someone wants to enjoy a week away from home, but still dont want to miss the chaos in mumbai, then go ahead and plan a trip to the worlds own paradise for romance, bangalore!!

well, no wrong notions, architectural romance is what i m referring to! so the next visit to bangalore must encompass a few good places like: the art of living ashram, the beach at suratkal and yes a periodic visit to the most favourite monument in bangalore at the langford town..........."divyashree chambers"....just to see that some fool from my fraternity has so carelessly drafted the flooring pattern increases the curiosity to see the rest of the place in close and confidential detail. what say??, anyone for a trip to bangalore, strictly to study the "modern hazards of intelligent buildings in the it hub of the world"

First thing....no offense. Bangalore Central is near Residency road. That is just a technicality. I agree with u when u say that it is a cool place. Also, i agree, the Surathkal beach is a good place where u can get some Sun. Thank u for ur support.
