the trip to orange city "nagpur" was really very oxygenating.
the past 2 months have been work, work and more work, so a trip to nagpur was a good break from the hectic schedule.
i had been to nagpur to attend a friend's wedding but unfortunately the wedding was called off!
i really dont know if i should feel sorry for my friend on a human level or whether i should see the rising withdrawals in my salary account.but, truely i need to check my expenditures now onwards if i plan to gift my mother something if not very expensive on her 60th birthday in october.
anyways, nagpur was a fun trip since i could spend my time with my cousins and aunt after a very long time. my sister, who is 4 years younger, was busy giving me trips of nagpur darshan on her scooty and had almost forgotten that she had her final exams for hotel management lined up after i returned to mumbai.though i did manage to teach her basic french and to my surprise she scored 50/ 60 in her weekly test.(i guess this is a good option for career if i fail as a techno-legal consultant or as a P.M.C! any students please apply!!)
nagpur has grown over the years, apart from the increasing traffic and the resulting pollution, there is a spade of new malls and shopping plazas which are almost built without a thought of preserving the authentic feature of the city which is the combination of madhya pradeshi and maharashtrian cult curries.
interestingly, my father was responsible for the construction of one of the first few bridges in nagpur in front of the lokmat building.i feel and strongly argue with my father that a small town city like nagpur requires neighbourhood planning at root level before such massive and self impossive infrastructure is provided.
nagpur, is like any small town still as even today when girls move out to reach the U pper L.A.D college they are chased by guys and even trapped at times. sadly, there is not much that the state government is doing about this serious problem.
interestingly, i witnessed a rare sight in nagpur, windy rain!
oui, il a pleut en nagpur!!
the tempratures were dropped by a degree or two, but it still seemed to be a relief in disguise.
all in all, i felt that nagpur needs to be given a serious thought!???
no puns intended,i only meant to refer to the civilizational structurizarion of the city so as to make it a better city and as they say better people love to live in best of the cities,so here's the clue!
